Ribblesdale at Horton-in-Ribblesdale TICRibblesdale at Horton-in-Ribblesdale TIC

Ribblesdale is a dale of great contrasts, from the busy market town of Settle to the wild and remote landscape around the viaduct and the three peaks,
Ribblesd is located in the south-western section of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is known as the 'backbone of England' and includes some of the most stunning and beautiful scenery in the country.
The River Ribble is 70 miles long
The Settle and Carlisle railway crosses one of the most difficult sections of the line to be built in Ribblesdale
Ribblesdale is known as 'Three Peaks' country because it features the three highest mountain peaks in the area, Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent. The gruelling annual fell race involves competitors running up all three in just a few hours.
